Portraits in process...

I've begun drawing my portrait and my special lady friend too.  Boned out and tweeked, both our portraits are in process of being drawn.  This has been fun to draw!  Next up, time to start on my girlfriend's portrait.

Another go at sabertooth bakery font

I wasn't very happy with the previous font choice on this sticker concept.  So, I hand drew one out and cleaned it up in illustrator.  I like this much better, plus, it's more unique!

sabertooth bakery sticker?

I have sketched out a few different ideas for the Sabertooth Bakery sticker contest.  This sticker drawing has come together nicely.   There may yet be some final touching up to do on this one.  Here it is anyways, enjoy.  I'll send it off!

Sketch mode wedding portrait.

I'm in sketch mode for my own wedding portrait piece.  Here is what I have been laying down with the pencil.  I wanted to do this yin yang concept with our portraits but I've veered away from it a bit. Though, I am still keeping the idea of it.  Of course, the wife will be upright, as she is the better half.  I think I'm on to something here.  Stay tuned...

SELF PORTRAIT shout out!

Sunday morning coffee and rap.  I did this piece for my buddies of the hip hop/rap trio Self Portrait earlier this year.  If you don't know it, check it!  Give Self Portrait a listen over on Bandcamp, good stuff!

Frank & Leo. BCP cats.

The cold months are upon us.  Frank and Leo are snuggling together.  Frank is always Leo's pillow.

"Caturday the 13th" polaroid

I'm doing some more playing around with "cat horror portrait" series.  Here is a polaroid picture for "Caturday the 13th."

Starting new portrait project!

I'm getting married in less than a year!  I have taken on a new portrait project in regard to my wedding.  It's going to be a portrait of my wife to be!  I may even go as far as combining a portrait of myself and my special lady in one piece.  Going to get tweaked out on this one, stay tuned...

Cat Dracula!

Halloween has come and gone, but here is a left over treat from the candy bag.  It'a Cat Dracula!  This makes #5 of the "cat horror portrait" series.  Also, this will be the last from this series, for awhile.  On to new projects.  Enjoy!

It has been decided. Dracula it is!

It has been decided that the next "cat horror portrait" is going to be Dracula.  There is plenty of movies out there on Dracula and how he looks.  Bram Stroker's Dracula is the one I have chosen.  This movie is more my generation of Dracula. The top hat and suit is classy, too.  Stay tuned....

"Hannibal Lector x cat" mash up

Here is a new "cat horror portrait." This cat has a taste for brains.  No, not a zombie cat. This cat is the mash up of Hannibal Lector in a straight jacket and face mask held as a prisoner from Silence of the Lambs.  This makes #4 in the "cat horror portrait" series.  Enjoy!

Drawing a new cat horror portrait

I'm back at it again with "cat horror portraits"  with the fourth portrait in the series. This time it is the mash up with Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs.  I've used that scene of Hannibal in a straight jacket and mask.  I think this is one of those unforgettable moments in cinematograghy, especially for horror films.  Stay tuned...

Vlad x Screeching Weasel finished!

This piece took longer than it should have, but I have finally finished it!  A buddy of mine digs the jams of Screeching Weasel so much he wanted his dog put in place of the weasel from the band's logo, so here it is.  It's "Vlad x Screeching Weasel."  Enjoy!

Framed "Kelly" portrait

It is always nice to see my portrait drawings being framed and hung up at people's homes.

Portrait delivery!

I biked from one end of Philly to the other to hand deliver a portrait drawing.   The tunes pumping in my ears for the bike ride was The Blind Shake.  Good stuff!  It's always great to see the expression of a customer when they first see the portrait drawing.  It's also a relieve to see that they are happy with the portrait drawing.  I like making people happy!

New portrait!

A friend asked me do a portrait of his special lady friend, also, a friend of mine.  She has many faces!  Here is just one of the many.  Enjoy!

Yes, I draw people portraits, too, not just cats and dogs.

Hannibal Lector x cat

Here is the line art for the new "cat horror portrait."  This is cat version of Hannibal Lector, "Hannibal Lector x cat."  This cat has on the mask so that it can not bite anyone.  Also, the cat has on a straight jacket.   This is one dangerous cat and needs to be restrained at all cost from endangering anyone.  This was a notable scene of Hannibal in the movie Silence of the Lambs.  Stay tuned...

Vlad x Screeching Weasel

I have another music/pet portrait coming up on the drawing table.  My buddy's favorite punk band is Screeching Weasel and wants to incorporate his dog, Vlad, as the weasel.  Should be a fun one to work on.

Cat and skull in sketch mode

I'm in sketch mode on another cat and skull portrait.  I've drawn a few "cat and skull" portraits already and want to continue on that theme.  This one is Lucy and a raven skull.  Lucy lives out in my backyard,  a feral cat.  I've seen her catch a few birds out there, none of which are ravens, but still a bird.   Stay tuned for the finished portrait...

Hannibal next for "cat horror portraits"

Up next on "cat horror portraits" is Hannibal from Silence of the Lambs.  This guy is a whole other kind of scary.  Forget ghost, nightmares, demons.  This guy is the real deal, flesh and blood.  Stay tuned...

Most metal baby!

My buddy Rob had a baby a few months ago.  Rob has been in a few hardcore metal bands,  My Precious Blood and One King Down, to name a few.  He was the lead vocals in those bands.  That being said, I came up with this baby portrait of his son, Lucien.   Enjoy!

Lulu, backyard cat

In the beginning of this year, I moved to a new place in Philly with a big backyard.  In this neighborhood, I have seen a gang of cats that stick together and always go through the yard along the fence line or just chill.  There are 5 cats in this gang, maybe 6, but this black cat came up to me.  I gave her water and food, now she sticks around all the time. Her name is now Lucy, but I call here Lulu.  She is super affectionate and she needs a loving home.

Starting a new baby portrait

I'm starting on a new baby portrait for a buddy of mine.  This baby is sooo metal!  This all makes sense if you know the father of this baby.

slowly working on cat horror portrait, cat krueger.

Spring has arrived, I've taken a break on drawing and saddled up on my bicycles.  This cat horror portrait has been a slow process but it will get finished.  It will just take some extra time.  I already have plans for a new cat horror portrait.  Art projects are getting stacked up...need to draw more.

Nightmare on Elm Street

Here is the line art for the latest "cat horror portraits."  It's Nightmare on Elm Street done Bad Cat Portrait style!  It has taken some time to get this one done.  Spring finally came and I can now enjoy being out of the studio.  I should have this finished soon, stay tuned...

Next up on "cat horror portraits" is Freddy Krueger

I remember when I was kid when I first saw Freddy Krueger hit the screen.  He was an instant hit and was burned into my brain.  He will always be an infamous horror villain to me.  I haven't scene all the Nightmare on Elm Street films, only a few I have watched.  The first one will always be a favorite horror flick for me.  Stay tuned...

#2 in the "cat horror portrait" series

Here is #2 in the "cat horror portrait" series.  It's Cat Pinhead.  This cat is most definitely a hellraiser, at least late at night, then sleeps all day.  And when there is a mysterious box laying around, this cat will try to get it open.  Enjoy!

Up next on "cat horror portrait" series

Up next on "cat horror portrait" series is Pinhead.  That's right, Hellraiser!  I really only like Hellraiser 1 and 2.  Many nights have I stayed up late in to the night watching Pinhead and the other cenobites do their evil.  Never open the box!

Caturday the 13th

This is the first portrait of the "cat horror portrait" series.  Caturday the 13th!  This is Frankie taking on the persona of the infamous Jason.  This is probably in the line of Friday the 13th part 3.   This cat doesn't need a machete to do his bloody slashing. Five claws on each paw will do the trick just fine.  "Caturday the 13th" is available in the store.  Enjoy!

Hairless cat?

Do you have a hairless cat and want me to draw it as one of my favorite horror villains?  If I can use the photo, I will draw it.  Just e-mail me the photo of your hairless cat to ktwillsey@gmail.com.    This drawing will be part of my "cat horror portrait" series that I am currently working on.  It's going to be horrifying, ha ha ha.

Cat horror portrait series

Cats love horror movies!  It's true, my cats watch horror movies with me.  That said,  I will be doing a "cat horror portraits" series.  Yup, cats taking on the persona of horror villain favorites.  Stay tuned...(guess what is the first "cat horror portrait")

"The Warrior"

Here is a new cat portrait!  It's Frankie with a Red Tail Hawk skull.  Frankie is most definitely a skilled warrior.  If he had the chance he would kill any small creature lurking in the backyard.   He is very stealthy when he pounces on Leo, my other cat,  when wrestling around.  If a mouse ever arises  in the house I will be able to count on Frankie.

"The Warrior"

I'm working on a few new pet portraits.  This here is the line art for "the warrior."  The skull on Frankie, the cat, is of a red tail hawk.  The red tail hawk is on the top of the list of favorite birds.  They also live in my area and I do get to see them flying around.  A most impressive bird this hawk  is.  Stay tuned for more on this cat portrait..enjoy.

Cats in space

NASA has nothing on CASA.  That's right, Cats Aeronautics and Space  Administration.  Cats in space!  Take a good look, cats are the way of the future.   Get on board people!  This cat, Rocky,  is going to outer space to touch the stars.  The magical mystery tour has left earth.

On a side note, United Stare Air Force actually has done studies of cats in zero gravity.
